Two students at the Mike Ilitch School of Business have received the AAA Social Justice Innovator Scholarship from AAA—The Auto Club Group
The Mike Ilitch School of Business is proud to announce that two students involved in the Multicultural Professional Readiness Education Program (MPREP) have been selected to receive the AAA Social Justice Innovator Scholarship from AAA—The Auto Club Group (ACG).
Students Ariadna Morales-Rocha and Nishat Khanam were both awarded this scholarship, created by ACG to reduce barriers for Wayne State University students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, math and business. ACG launched this multi-year commitment in 2021, to create, develop and support programs that improve social justice and equity in all 14 states where the company operates.
MPREP, at the Ilitch School, aspires to increase the number of underrepresented, multicultural students in business by creating a unifying collaboration between Ilitch School academic resources, corporate supporters/mentorship and community engagement.
Khanam thanked ACG for this award, saying “I am really appreciative to ACG for providing me with this opportunity, and I feel very honored to be a part of it. I want to express my sincere gratitude to you once more for your kindness and faith in my qualifications.”
Morales-Rocha also expressed her gratitude for this award, “Thank you to the ACG team and their generosity. Thanks to this scholarship I am able to enhance my education and reach my goals.”
