Meet Dave Leone

A graduate of Wayne State University's MBA program, Dave Leone recalls maintaining a busy schedule working full time in Detroit as an engineer while attending evening courses at WSU's former extension center in Birmingham, Mich. He found it easy to identify with other students in the program, as most were also in a similar situation. Dave attributes his academic and career success to the competitive, yet flexible nature of Wayne State's program.
"Wayne State was good for me, and General Motors had been good to me," said Leone. Currently working as the Global Vehicle Line Executive for Rear-Wheel Drive and Performance Cars at General Motors, Dave was chosen to represent General Motors on the School of Business Administration's Board of Visitors.
He notes that it is important for those like himself to give back to Wayne State and the community. "I give because I've been very fortunate and I want to share some of that success with others. I think by having Wayne State prosper and having the city of Detroit prosper it will help our area recover and come back to provide opportunities for the next generation of students."
