Requirements

Students who meet Wayne State University requirements for regular admission are eligible for admission to the Mike Ilitch School of Business.

Those pursuing a global supply chain management bachelor's degree must complete 120 credits including the satisfaction of Wayne State University's general education program and the Mike Ilitch School of Business general education, foundation and core requirements.

Required and elective course descriptions can be found on the WSU Undergraduate Bulletin:

Each course is three credit hours. Students are responsible for observing all prerequisites and limitations, and must have a minimum 2.50 GPA to enroll in 3000 level or higher Ilitch School core and major courses.

You can choose either a B.A. or a B.S. in any Ilitch Business major. The only difference is that the B.A. has a foreign language requirement; the B.S. does not.

Study abroad

Global supply chain management majors are strongly encouraged to participate in a study abroad program. Sessions generally last two weeks and participants earn three credits, which can be counted under GSC 4991 as a major elective or as a free business elective.

The programs are organized by Ilitch School faculty and involve visits with the foreign operations of Detroit-area companies and various cultural visits. About 15 to 20 students participate in each trip.
