Aug. 24, 2023 ~ With Stellantis NV becoming highly profitable in recent years, the company now may be a bigger target during UAW contract negotiations.

The maker of Crysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles has reached a similar financial standing to other major Detroit automakers Ford Motor Co. and General Motors. Stellantis, formed from a merger between Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV and Groupe PSA in 2019, is facing a strong push from UAW for higher wage increases than the previous negotiations.

Labor expert and Wayne State University business professor Marick Masters spoke on “Focus with Paul W. Smith” about Stellantis’s new position in the current UAW negotiations.
