"Small Talk with Mark S. Lee" broadcast live from Swing for the Students golf outing

"Small Talk with Mark S. Lee" was broadcast live from the historic Detroit Golf Club July 20 for the WSU School of Business' 9th annual Swing for the Students golf outing. Dean Robert Forsythe and Associate Dean Margaret Smoller discussed the importance of the event and programs the school is launching in the fall, such as the Warriors Business Community. The dean said two of his goals for students are learning to network and the ability to pitch themselves in a short amount of time.

"Networking is crucial to success in business," Forsythe said. "Walking into a room where you know no one and networking is a tough skill, but is something you learn with practice."

The broadcast also featured commentary from School of Business alumni John Bukowicz, president and CEO of Corporate Consulting Associates, Inc.; Matthew Simoncini, president and CEO of Lear Corporation; Ned Grant, owner of Hielan Sales & Marketing, Inc. and Amanda Carnagie, marketing specialist for Mango Languages.
