Wayne State Business School welcomes new member to its Board of Visitors

The Wayne State University School of Business is proud to welcome Matthew K. Casey to its Board of Visitors (BOV). 

Casey is a partner at Warner Norcross & Judd, LLP, one of the largest law firms in Michigan. He has focused his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, commercial loan workouts, commercial loan documentation and bank-related litigation. He has more than two decades of experience in loan workouts involving industrial facilities, shopping centers, real estate developments and gas stations. 

Casey is an active member of the community, serving as a board member for the Macomb County Chamber, community director for Macomb Community College Foundation and a board member for the St. John Providence Health System Foundation. He has been named a “Top Lawyer in Banking Law” by dBusiness and has been consistently recognized as a Michigan Super Lawyer.

Casey holds a bachelor of science magna cum laude from Wayne State University’s School of Business and a doctor of jurisprudence from Wayne State University Law School. A lifelong Macomb County resident, Casey resides in Washington Township with his wife, Christine, and two sons.

About the BOV

Board of Visitors members serve at the invitation of the dean of the School of Business. Their role is to advise and support the dean on the strategic direction and advancement of the school.
