WSU BizBlog relaunch invites dialogue about all things business

Creating a forum that fosters dialogue and an exchange of ideas about business - particularly as it pertains to the Detroit area the Wayne State University School of Business has re-launched its BizBlog.

Providing a platform for academics, practitioners and students to share their expertise on topics trending in business, BizBlog will focus on issues in accounting, finance, global supply chain management, information systems management, marketing and management.

Current and upcoming posts include:

  • The American diet, sodium content and the obesity crisis, by Andrea Tangari, assistant professor of marketing and supply chain management. In this post, Tangari examines truth in labeling regarding recommended sodium intake level for U.S. consumers.
  • Enterprise Data Warehouse at Henry Ford Health System, by Jack Malloy, vice president of IT services integration and quality for Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) and a current M.B.A. student. In this post, Malloy looks at the HFHS approach to data-driven performance management.
  • What is SEO? A guide for beginners, co-authored by Natalia Kumar, a senior dual-majoring in information systems management (ISM) and marketing, and Shylan Ghoujeghi, also a senior ISM major. The post explains why, in our technology-driven world, search engine optimization (SEO) is important for businesses that want to appear as a top result in search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing. This post will be available on March 19.
