SBA career office welcomes new assistant director

The WSU School of Business Administration Career Planning and Placement Office (CPP) has announced the hiring of Jennifer Cunningham as assistant director, effective August 18.

Cunningham most recently served as assistant director of Career Services at Lawrence Technological University where she coordinated the co-op program for the College of Engineering and the College of Arts and Science and handled both career advising and employer relations.

CPP Director Emily Kravetz noted that Cunningham has specific experience that will benefit many subsections of the business school student body, including experience advising commuter students, international students and student athletes, among others.

Cunningham is also familiar with many of the disciplines taught in the School of Business Administration. Prior to her career services career, Cunningham worked in bank management and public relations/marketing.

Jennifer Cunningham earned a B.A. in communications from the University of Toledo and Master of Education in career and technical education (training and career development) from Bowling Green State University.

About the Career Planning and Placement Office

The School of Business Administration’s Career Planning and Placement Office was created in 2005 upon the recommendation of the school’s Board of Visitors. CPP supports business students and alumni with their career planning needs, from career assessments to resume reviews, as well as job and internship search support and career advising. In addition to its on-campus career fairs, CPP averages roughly 250 employer interviews and 2,000 student career advising appointments per year. Additionally, more than 900 employers are registered with the office’s waynebizcareers.com website.
