Management professor receives Citation of Excellence Award

Amanuel Tekleab, associate professor of management, has received a 2013 Citation of Excellence Award for his paper, titled “A longitudinal study of team conflict, conflict management, cohesion, and team effectiveness” (Group & Organization Management, 2009).

The Citation of Excellence Awards are given annually by Emerald Management Reviews to just 50 of the more than 300,000 articles in its vast database from the top 300 management journals in the world, including Harvard Business Review, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Finance and Strategic Management Journal. The 50 awardees are chosen based on a formula that rates citations and research impact.

“This type of award is a very rare happening in one’s profession,” Tekleab said. “To achieve such recognition is a great boost for my career, and to see my work recognized as having influence in others’ research is a bonus.”
