Institute for Organizational and Industrial Competitiveness (IOIC)
IOIC creates innovative partnerships between WSU and business and government institutions throughout the world. Our alliances positively impact competitiveness on personal, corporate, industrial and geopolitical levels.
Some successful IOIC partnerships include consulting on a major Michigan firm’s expansion into China and hosting a global business forum at Japan's World Expo.
We provide opportunities for students and faculty to work closely with top business and government leaders on meaningful projects.
An example is “Leaders on Leadership,” our Michigan Emmy®-winning TV series produced with Detroit Public Television.
The series brings top business, non-profit and government leaders together with the Wayne State community to examine leadership in an ever-changing world.

Manufacturing Information Systems Center (MISC)
We help companies make sound business decisions when choosing, implementing and using Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
With the help of the business school, MISC makes a commitment to foster basic and applied research that benefits business enterprises.
