Board of Visitors Faculty Fellows
The school's Board of Visitors awards one fellowship annually for faculty who have achieved demonstrated research prominence in their field or have shown progress towards that end.
Each fellowship lasts for three years. Current fellows are listed below.
Santanu Mitra, Associate Professor of Accounting; Interim Chair, Department of Accounting
2012 Winner
Honored with the 2012 Board of Visitors Faculty Fellow Award, Professor Mitra is an exemplary researcher in financial reporting and auditing with works published throughout seven peer-reviewed journals and two highly-regarded academic journals. He regularly reviews papers for several academic journals, and serves on editorial boards for three peer-reviewed academic journals.
Amanuel Tekleab, Associate Professor of Management
2011 Winner
Professor Tekleab won the 2011 Board of Visitors Faculty Fellow Award for his distinguished work on eight peer-reviewed journal articles in the last five years and a highly-cited book chapter during the same time.
His work in the organizational behavior field centers on workplace issues, team conflicts, leader/member relationships and more. He also serves on three editorial boards for scholarly management journals and assists with the Ph.D. program.
Attila Yaprak, Professor of Marketing and International Business
2010 Winner
As the winner of the 2010 Board of Visitors Faculty Fellow Award, Professor Yaprak achieved research prominence in his academic field through his published articles, including two in top marketing journals.
Professor Yaprak also secured funding from nine external grants in addition to his work being recognized by professional marketing organizations like the Academy of Marketing Science.
