Graduate certificate completion plans

Students may choose to attend part-time or full-time. Courses will be offered at least once every semester, allowing coursework to be completed in as little as one semester, or as long as three years. Below are examples of how the program can be completed in one, two or three semesters.

One-semester plan

BA 6000: Introduction to Accounting & Financial Reporting (2 cr.)
BA 6005: Basics of Financial Management (2 cr.)
BA 7000-level course: Functional Elective Course: BA 7070 or ISM 7500 Only*

To complete the work in one semester, you will have to take either one of the full term courses or one of the two courses offered in the second half of the semester online.

BA 7000-level course elective is limited to BA 7070 or ISM 7500, due to the prerequisites for all other BA 7000-level electives.

Two-semester plan

A student following the two-semester plan can choose any of the 7000-level courses other than BA 7020, as their functional elective.

A student following the three-semester plan can choose any of the 7000-level courses as their functional elective in the third semester, because they will have completed the prerequisites in the first two semesters.

BA 6010, 6020, 6025, and 6090 are half-semester courses that meet once a week for four hours for 7.5 weeks.

BA 6000 and BA 6005 meet once a week for two hours and are conducted over the entire semester.
