The School of Business Assistance Center Initiative
The School of Business Assistance Center (SBAC) initiative is designed to address the needs of area businesses and organizations. We are establishing three offices in metropolitan Detroit, in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. Through each SBAC, we will provide expertise, insight and manpower to emerging and existing businesses facing growth and diversification challenges, non-profit organizations facing staffing and funding shortages, and other area enterprises.
The SBAC will provide support in areas such as marketing feasibility studies, business strategy, financial projections, information technology support, and human resource development programs through our consulting services group. Weekly “walk-in” consulting sessions designed to address critical or short-term needs, such as brief coaching or question and answer sessions, will be used to provide additional support to area businesses and organizations.
Each School of Business Assistance Center is staffed and managed by MBA students who apply best business practices into actionable solutions under the guidance and coaching of faculty, executives-in-residence, alumni and other partners of the Wayne State University School of Business Administration.
We are actively seeking clients who could benefit from such an arrangement, students who are looking for an opportunity to gain experience, and partners looking to help these students in their efforts to address the economic development challenges in our community. Please, consider your needs and interests, and let us know how you fit in. Learn more by choosing a path below:
